Aerobatics with Carol
This week I was lucky enough to do something a bit different. More detail to follow on the specifics but I had the privilege of taking Carol Vorderman flying in G-ODDS (the Pitts S2A on the left). Whilst she is a seasoned pilot she hadn't had a go at aerobatics herself. It was particularly enjoyable as this is the aircraft I learnt aerobatics in and did my first few years of competition in her. It was like going back to an old friend and was all the more enjoyable to introduce someone else to aerobatics in the same aircraft.
It was also lovely to meet a fellow Cambridge Engineering graduate, particularly one who shares the aim of encouraging more young women and girls to consider studying Engineering. If you've got any ideas of things I could do to this end, do let me know!
